Is it just me or is the forum getting even better lately. Loads of different and interesting threads and more and more newcomers (welcome all). Some real interesting views on all manner of subjects and I for one am really enjoying it all at the moment

Seconded Homer.
It got an injection of newbies lately they were springing from everywhere multiplying like gremlins :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool:

It's not just you :D

I dont think I have ever come across a forum that make newcomers as welcome as this site, Golf or otherwise.. and this post proves it.. :)

As a newbie myself (to Golf as well as this forum) I would like to thank the regular posters on here for all the help and advice given, regardless of handicap, or number of posts....and I should know :cool:

On that point, I'm off to the range tommorow to try out my new found posture and grip, I'll let you know how I get on.

I agree Homer i was telling a few people at the club this week how good it was,and they should join.Also mentioning the away days we have had,and how friendly everyone was.This is a great site and long may it continue.
 
As I've mentioned before, the forum has been a lifeline for me while I have been stuck at home during my recent treatment for cancer. I couldn't get out to the club and the forum made up for this by letting me join in the banter. I only started posting recently but I read every thread every day earlier this year before finally joining. So many great characters, interesting discussions and useful advice and information not to mention the humour - priceless :)

Ooh. I used to do that...when there was about 20 registered users. Now that there's about 7000 I can't keep up.

Just out of interest, I notice that we've posted over 213,600 posts between us in the lounge alone, although admittedly most of that was Homer.

For research purposes I had a look at the The Today's Golfer forum site, which says this about itself;-

"With 13188 comments in 10664 topics and 168101 members it's the only forum worth going to."

Er, no it's not. These guys clearly can't type?

I've only ever used car entusiast forums in the past. Never thought about joining a golf one.

Then I joined here and GolfWRX at the same time and tbh i've never used GolfWRX as I find it much better over here :)
