Guy at our place won the major singles h/c matchplay championship this year and there were a few folk unhappy about it.
He NR's almost every single week and has been known to do it on the 1st !!!!
Hit a drive a little left and there is rough that isn't nice, so instead of hitting out and carrying on he just picked up as it was a bad lie. NR after 1 shot in his round.
I could not believe it.
Anyway, I am not suggesting for a minute that this guy is intentionally cheating, as he is not that type of person, it wouldn't cross his mind to cheat, infact I have played with him on a second occasion and he called a foul on himself twice in the same round.
But, imo, he is cheating fellow members by going up 0.1 and increasing his handicap, not just holding on to the one he has and then beating good players in the big matchplay comp.
