Been doing a bit more rooting lately as posture seems to be a slight problem.... When I set up I have more of an s bend in my lower back and I don't seem to bend properly from the waist..... It seems that the pelvis/hip area can be causing some problems..... A level belt line where the hips are more on top of the legs is supposed to promote a draw... A more tilted belt line is supposed to be a building block for a fade swing.. And somewhere in the middle lies neutral...... Can the hips have that much influence in the swing..... I know my posture has a huge influence on mine and the hips are a part of that.....

Your back has to be natural.

So many times you see people sticking their posterior out or hunching over.

Back posture is athletic and natural.

IMO its the shoulders that should tilt and the hips should be level.

Athletic yes. But there's not a lot 'natural' in the setup for a golf swing!

Try Athletic but not Over-Tense. Or even just 'athletic'.

And yes, the hips - hat the do and don't do and in what sequence - are hugely important. Though that doesn't mean that other parts aren't!

Im guilty at this Pal....... Probably trying to be too athletic about it..... And to be branded by playing buddies as having an ass like J-Lo dont help either....:rolleyes:

Pretend you're about to give someone who weighs 13 stone a piggy back.... he's running up behind you and about to jump up (don't forget to catch his legs).... brace!!!!

Then let your arms swing down naturally into your 'golf grip' position :thup:
