Is golf best played in the Morning?

I enjoy playing both but i prefer late afternoons as i can clear any family/work commitments during the day so nothing is pressing my time - a beer afterwards feels 'right' rather than at 11.00am!

If I'm teeing off at 11:30 a beer at 11:00 "feels right"!

It certainly was the best time to play today, Went out before 10, came in just after 12 and within 10 minutes it was chucking it down.

Not so much an early morning golfer but I do prefer a quiet/relaxed round so pick my times to suit, a quiet Sunday morning or an evening knock about or if I've got some time off I'll very often pick the quiet days to go out, Wednesdays are mid week medals and Friday is the circus at our course so I'll pick Monday, Tuesday or Thursday mid morning to do my thing...

Long before I had a family and other commitments I much preferred morning golf. I am and always have been a morning person.

I just can't stay in bed, I have to be up and about.

45 minutes in the nets!

Each to their own, but a few stretches and swings tends to work for me - i want to save all my good shots for the course.

I don't feel ready with anything less, I suffer from a tight back so a good 45 mins works best for loosening it up.

I used to hate playing first thing in the morning (before 9) and still prefer to play pm. Always try and book a comp time for around noon at the weekend in the summer.

I love crisp autumn mornings as the leaves turn. If I'm out by myself I prefer late summer evenings. If it's a Saturday comp, anytime between 8:30 and 1pm.
