well lads of tomorrow for a weeks golfing in the emerald isle,10 - 11 rounds in the week. we play in the causeway coast golf comp which for £190 give you a stableford comp on portstewart, castlerock, royal portrush (valley course ) and ballycastle you also get a practise round on each course which is in the price.

this year we're going to ballyliffin on sunday to meet up with brendy and the rest of the irish lads to play in there gm event, the deal they guys got to play the 2 fantastic courses is a real bargain. on the thursday we normally go right on the swally after our round in the morning but we're going up to donegal in the afternoon to play another 2 fantastic links courses in portsalon and rosapenna ,hopefully anyway, the back down the road to play portsewart again before the ferry home.

anyway a full week of playing links golf ,canny beat it,will post some photo's when i get home to show you how good these courses are.

3 1/2 hours til I finish work and head straight for The north coast Steve, Playing Castlerock this afternoon then onto the Hotel. Bringing a camera and hd camcorder too for the hell of it. Might get to see some real horrible swings in glorious Full HD haha.
Have a good one and I'll see you on Sunday. Im actually a little jealous that you are getting the whole week! :D

not long now only one more sleep have a safe trip mate and enjoy the glashedy tomorrow its a really nice track. there's a cafe at the ferry at magilligan that does a mean blt if you get there early enough .

Great trip hope the weather holds up for golf in Donegal if its bad there its bad. Was going to play the causeway coast golf comp this year but went for the Atlantic Golf challange instead as it was only over 3 days which suits better.
Never been a better time to play golf in Ireland there are great deals on hotels and golf courses all over the place.
There is another 4 course event on in Sligo/Donegal in September for anyone thinking of a links break in ireland it would be great value it's called the West coast Challange. Enjoy the trip.
Mike

Sounds amazing mate.

If you don't mind me asking, what's the trip costing you as a total?

I'd love to do something like that sometime soon.

johnathan were £190 for our golf comp which is 8 rounds the ferry is £100 ,we booked it later this year so its dearer,we get free digs at my mate pauls parents to happy days and the donegal trip would be an extra 100 euro roughly plus my beer tokens so not to bad for a great weeks golf and craic.

Safe journey over Steve and indeed to everyone travelling to Ballyliffin.

Look forward to meeting you on Sunday.

Brendy, will see you tomorrow morning around 11ish

Cheap as you like mate! I definitely need to get a links golf weekend to Scotchland or Ireland sorted ASAP.

have a great week mate, played rosapenna a few weeks back in an ulster cup match, cracking spot, great course, over 6900 off the tips, so definately a test on the tom morris and sandy hills is meant to be a lot harder!

good luck.

cheers lads, really looking forward to some serious golf and bucket loads of guinness and our annual trip to the harbour bar in portrush on sunday night.
