Ive bought my daughter one of the new Ipod touch's for Xmas, which is the best Golf GPS App for it, she wants a rangefinder & I thought this might suit instead of a dedicated GPS such as a skycaddie or bushnell.

I use two on my I phone

My caddie pro is a free app with score card, stat manager, google earth images and good other info like carry to front middle and back if greens, carry of lakes and bunkers etc, but I've found a couple of courses are not yet fully mapped

The other I use is golf gps, again another free app but it isn't as user friendly as my caddie pro

The above is right. The iPod Touch doesn't have GPS function. You can download the GPS apps, but they won't work.

I will DEFINITELY recommend a Sing Analyser though. There's a few on the app store and they aren't expensive but you can get very good slow mo videos of your swing for analysing. The iPod touch will now work with this as they come with a video camera.

Thanks for letting me know about the GPS not working on the touch, I was going by the available on Iphone & Touch, swing thing sounds good

Stupid question alert!!

Do you get a better frame rate with the swing app than just recording video with the iPhone's camera?

Not stupid at all! But yes you do. It's ALOT better and gives you a more flowing slo-mo swing.
