iPhone golf apps

Golfshot GPS (I have the full version which is awesome but the free one is supposed to be not bad)

for off the course theres the GM short game app, ET, PGA, Golf channel apps aswell

Not sure if this is still working with Ios6 which the Iphone 5 uses

It works on my iphone 4 which I've updated to latest OS 6.1.2

I got a Skycaddie last year as you can't use an iPhone in comps any more (had Golfshot for about three years) but on realising I'd have to pay a subscription to use the Skycaddie on my recent holiday in the states I turned back to Golfshot which worked perfectly at Palmetto Pine Country Club in Florida.

I've taken both Skycaddie and iPhone out on the course when it's quiet and compared distances they give - they are usually exactly or near enough the same - Golfshot takes a few second to update distance when you reach your ball though - Skycaddie is pretty much instant.

MyCaddy is good, free and gives GPS on the course
The smart thing is that it knows not to work in comps (ok I made that last bit up)

There's a website called Google - try that, it's pretty good and reckon it might take off in a big way with what it does.....
