Hi Guys and Girls,

I'm Dan 28 UK, I play when ever I can which is not as often as I would like, but I joined here really to see if anyone had some recommendations for the best golf in Cornwall. I know there are a few different places, but had no idea about what any of them are like.

Any ideas?

Thanks Dan

Welcome Dan.
I guess a lot of it boils down to what your budget is.
Have you been playing long?

Hi bobmac, it will be part of my holiday so price isn't too much of a problem, as I will not be buying a years membership. Will that be a problem?

I've only been playing for around 7 months, my boss introduced me and I've become addicted! however I've only played the one club and really want to try one while i'm on holiday :(

I found this page that mentions a few places becuase i'm staying on one of there cottages in penzance.http://www.westcornwallcottageholidays.com/golf-holidays-cornwall/. I'm not sure if either of those places (cape Cornwall or praa sands) are any good or not though. They are equidistant from my cottage.

Hi Dan

Cornwall is a pretty big place, can you narrow it down a bit and I'm sure we can help you out!

Hi Dan

Take a look at Mullion and West Cornwall, They are two decent courses in the south of Cornwall not to far from Penzance.

Im not sure about Praa Sands, I havnt played it. There's also a nice little 9 holer at a hotel called Budock Vean near Falmouth that's ok if you just fancy a quick 9.

TBH, I would give West Cornwall a wide berth, course is nothing short of dangerous! Some good holes but an awful layout with fairways running towards each other and tees right in the firing line towards the green you have just played. I had 4 very close calls with stray balls when I played it.

Perranporth is fairly close to it though and that is a lot of fun. Best course in Cornwall by some distance is St Enodoc, one of my all time favourite courses.
