I've been practicing with my old TM TP's as the R11 5 iron and latterly the 7 iron have been making a very funny noise at impact even though I'm hitting it off the middle (no honestly). I've given them back to the pro to look at and maybe send back.

I decided to use the TP's in the comp yesterday rather than an amalgamation of R11 and TP's and lo hit the ball fantastically well and came second. Now I really love the R11's and they have given me more distance and forgiveness and yet I can still play with the TP's. Once I get the 5 and 7 irons repaired/changed what to do. Go back to the R11's and the benefits they give me or stick with the better player club (and better looking) TP's. Didn't think it would be a decision I'd have to make for a good while but the game is coming on leaps and bounds and so I feel I could do the TP's justice again. Nice dilemma to have though

go with what feels most comfortable Homer. You saw my issue with the ugly g10's compared to my titleists but yesterday I hit them great so glad I was persuaded to stick with them.

Aswell as you hit the TP's yesterday there is obviously a reason you switched to the R11's in the 1st place ;)

Well Homer, for me, u just have to go with what works
Whatever works best, plays best, and makes u feel best looking down at them
You do always have that option of creating a 'combo' set, with long iron R11 irons
But for me, I dont believe its a good thing to have a 'back-up' set of irons, too easy to switch if things aint going well, instead of working a bit harder with what we have
Back up putters...........Fine though......;)

Congrats on 2nd place too

You got to go with what gives you the most confidence is it the built in comfort zone of a slight mishit still going and the stronger lifts giving greater distance of the R11's or the classy looking 'players club' TP's if the results are similar it's a toss of the coin?
