You know those moments when someone gets what they deserve almost immediate? Well I have my own story of one now.
Heading out to my swab test after being feverish this week I opened my garage just as a deliver van parked right in front of it.
I was on time but any delay would see me run a bit late if traffic was heavy.
I asked the guy to move back as he got out but he just carried on and made the delivery to my house, Ok I didn’t push it. I couldn’t get out my car as I’m technically self isolating.
So my wife handles the contactless delivery of some important things and he goes to drive off.
As he goes to start his van I go to start my car, then the moment of instant karma...
...my car doesn’t start! His van does and he looks at me, I shrug as my car just makes strained screeches.
I bet he got a good laugh out of that one, teaches me for being impatient!
In my defence I am having a terrible week, so lucky to get a test my car had enough fuel to get to and back from after a whole day stressing over booking one plus needing ID and not being able to find my driving licence just before we left (email came in with details the hour before I was leaving). So having someone park up across your drive just as you go to leave was just another thing on top of an already stressful morning.
Still all worked out Ok as I gave my car 5 mins, it started with some distress and I found my licence...
Let’s hope the test is negative and next week is a little better!
