Inside to outside swing path drills?

After getting sick of the occasional big slice ruining my rounds, I've worked hard recently on trying to swing on more of an inside to outside path to try and get that elusive draw. When at the range I've tried putting a headcover a few inches behind the ball so if my slice tries to creep back in the headcover will go flying.

After using this drill for a couple of months I've started to have some success with my irons, but with my hybrids/3 wood I can't seem to get that draw going. Has anyone got any other decent drills I could use to ingrain this?

The headcover drill should work, but the other bit may be what your hands are doing. Although slightly risky, because once established the hook is for life, you could try a drill where you hit half shots working on good contact and release. The idea is to swing back slowly so that your left arm is parallel to the ground and also to the target line. At that point, the club should be vertical. Then swing through so that when your left arm is parallel (to the target line and ground) again, the club is back in the vertical plane.

Do it slowly at first making sure you make decent contact, then speed up, using your body to move the club faster.

Start with a 7 iron, say, and you should see the ball go straight or draw slightly, then work up to the hybrid and driver.

I've been trying a new drill for in-out and have enjoyed seeing the odd draw creep in to my game.

I am doing this one...

except with one small difference. I am putting the "outside ball" an inch or two closer to the "inside" ball....even a perfect take-away needs to move inside by the time the club gets to the first ball.

Once you are pushing well, work on the face.
