I played Sunday in my Nike Heritage shoes and I ended up with trench foot. I have some footjoy aql's and I know this is going to sound daft but I dont want to wear them in muddy wet conditions, I'd rather save them for best. So can anyone recommend some cheap-ish shoes for our winter conditions,I dont want to spend a fortune on something for ploughing through mud in. Anyone seen owt decent on sale?

You aren't going to get anything much cheaper than AQL's if you want your feet to stay dry.
Shopping around on the 'net should bag you a pair for £40.00 or thereabouts.
Cheaper than that?
A couple of Tesco carrier bags you tightwad.
;)

I'd rather use my best now and have dry feet than save them for summer and have trench foot, my fj sports were 75 quid but Sunday my feet were super warm and dry. It's in sh@t conditions you appreciate the money you have spent ;)

cheap + waterproof = dream on

FJ Greenjoy if you want plastic shoes, probably swetter on the inside though

Stuburt golf boot, but would you dare to wear them

Instead of buying cheap use the AQL then get a new pair for next season

Realise my Footjoy AQL's are no longer waterproof after playing yesterday :(. Had them three years so not so bad i suppose. Had a look in the Pro shop today for some new shoes, but of course they have nothing in wide fittings. :(

You've talked me into it, I'll wear my AQL's for winter and treat myself to a new pair of FJ Icons for the summer months, suppose you have to open the purse once in a while eh!

Do your self a favour, if you are buying shoes, give the icons a miss and go for dry joys. The best shoes, no matter the budget. I know, I've tried them all.

Hope you are right, as i have just bought a pair for £70 on ebay. Actually had them in a wide fitting . I will test them at Saunton next week, and report back.

stubert helium pro II £50 from onlinegolf, or £49.99 from affordable golf with a free t-shirt and free delivery
