Indoor Golf

Theres one opened not too far from us by J12 on the M1. Will try and go and see what its like but at £50 an hour its not a viable option to use too often, especially having to travel to get there. Pricing it to maximise usage and your revenue clearly not easy but probably needs to be more flexible and offer better deals, especially at quiet times

I'm up there on Tuesday as its been opened in conjunction with Alex @ Orka.

Just completed the survey. Funnily enough, we are in the process of building an internal one at our club at the moment. Should hopefully all be ready in the new year. Will be great for practice and lessons etc

I'm really looking forward to it, I think it will help bring more people into the club too.

Good luck

Thats impressive, which club do you belong to?

Survey done, good luck for the future

The nearest thing to what you are thinking of doing around where I live is the American Top Golf driving range , which is a good format but can attract some people who like to get drunk on a Saturday night.

.......I think if done well, and using the right launch monitor (I'm currently looking at Trackman and Flightscope), the centre could fulfil both needs.

I'm a big fan of the GC2 but obviously the radar systems are pretty good too. Just be sure you're happy with the limitations of what a Doppler radar system can accurately tell you if you plan to use the system for teaching. I tested doppler radar systems for the military at one time so had to get pretty 'geeky' about how they work and there are some things that the GC2 does far better than the radar systems when it comes to spin axis and club face angles etc. Drop me a PM if you want me to go through what I mean in greater detail.

Survey filled in. Good luck with the venture
