All the talk politically just now is about the above does anyone think it will happen ?. I for one won't vote for it we're 35 years to late as the amount of oil isn't there anymore so how could we sustain the country.

I personally don't think it will happen, but if it's a yes vote then good luck to you all. At least you have politicians up there prepared to hold a referendum on something important. What would be interesting is what would happen should an independent Scotland wish to rejoin the Union again in the future. I don't think that has been answered by the politicians on both sides. In fact, I don't think anyone in the UK has been given all the facts yet. As I said in another post, going to be an interesting 12 months.

There is still plenty of oil and gas,new fields off the west coast of Shetland being developed.

I will also not vote for independence, the financial ramifications for Scotland would IMO be disasterous.

Correct , but for me i think Salmond and Sturgeon are on a poor trip can't stand the both of them, yes there is more oil there but not as much as there was back when it first started.

On another thread, Adi2Dassler seems to have facts and figures that Salmond hasn't been able to produce. He's wasted on this forum (and I am still Scottish).

No vote for me. A yes vote would co-opt Scotland into Europe (Salmond thinks this is a good idea).

I'd go so far as to say if it is a yes win, then I'll be taking the family either back to N.I or down south.

Me too, reckon I'll end up somewhere around St Helen's/Warrington area if that became the case

Can we rebuild Hadrian's wall the day after? :p

If the Scots vote NO (which hopefully the smart ones will) will the Scottish 'make a name for themselves' politicians lobby for another vote the following (and every) year until eventually it comes out as YES? or has it been set that there can't be another vote for some time?

I would respectfully suggest if your going to post links you should not quote them as fact, clearly some "not all" are from a very one sided point of view.
