Increasingly frustrated putter

I remember when I played a pro am a couple years and the Pro said my hips move every time I putt - he tried a few drills with me and he found in the end I putter worse when I keep my hips still ! I guess everyone is different but moving hips doesn't seem to affect me and seems to help me putt ?

I expect your right the same I suppose with the swing in general we all have different moving parts.

With the missing of short putts for some time now I felt I had to do something.

I am getting quite despondent playing well but putting so badly at times.

I felt like that until I had a lesson with Mike at Harold Swash clinic.
He save my life and I've not been outside top 3 since!
True story.

This explains it....

I can see clearly now the rain is gone
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It's gonna be a bright (bright)
Bright (bright) sunshiny day
It's gonna be a bright (bright)
Bright (bright) sunshiny day

Oh, yes I can make it now the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is that rainbow I've been praying for
It's gonna be a bright (bright)
Bright (bright) sunshiny day

Sorry! LOL

How are you missing them? push, pull, dribbling to the hole?

Over short ones sometimes I like to start the blade a few inches behind the ball rather than in tight behind the ball.

It promotes a small backswing then forces me to stroke right through the ball. No decelerating.
