Inactive handicap then what?

I have had an inactive handicap of 12 for over a year but recently joined a new club. I have now played 3 Medal rounds with scores in the mid 90's.

So the question is what handicap am I likely to get? A gradual increase from 12 or something which truly represents how I am playing at the moment ie 18+?

I look forward to your informed advice.

I think you'll get 0.1 back for each medal round and an active handicap but I'm happy to be corrected.....

No, They will still use your 12 and adjust based on your returned cards.see attached link

Got a feeling you're right AW.

Each round gets adjusted as per the scoring but the handicap is inactive meaning you can't win comps - assuming your Committee has put that rule in place.
Now you've played 3 your handicap will be active and it's like you've never been away - but you get 3 x 0.1's back....
