Major Champion
Just to confirm the important details for West Hill on Monday.
Registration is from 8.00 onwards. The organisers will be getting to the Club around 7.30 to set up, so if you do get there early please be available to carry prizes, auction and raffle items etc from the car park. Allow plenty of time to get to the Club as the traffic can build up.
If you have got anything for the raffle please bring with you.
Bacon rolls and coffee/tea will be served from 8.00, but please make sure you register before eating We do not want to be dragging you out of the dining room to hand over your cashThe registration desks will be in the hallway that goes through to the changing rooms.
The cost of the golf and food for the day (Bacon rolls, two course carvery lunch) is £55.00 You can also buy raffle tickets on the day if you have not already done so. You will also need to pay £10 to enter the long drive and nearest the pin competition, and you will also get an official programme and a team photo.
The shotgun start is at 9.30 so do not be late ! Allow 10 minutes if you have to drive out to the 10th as it can take few minutes just to get out of the Club car park. You turn left out of the Club, through the lights on the main road, and then take the first left. Go to the end of the road, past Worplesdon golf Club, and at the crossroads turn left again. The 10th tee car park is about quarter of a mile on the left again. So left, left, left and left. If you don't know your left from your right you are in trouble.
The majority will walk out to their tees so allow time again. Those starting on the 13th and 18th please take the nearest the pin and long drive markers with you. If you are not sure if you should be driving or walking we will advise on the day.
A siren will start the golf, but in case it can not be heard from the furthest tee, check watches and start on the dot at 9.30.
Remember we are playing off white tees for men and red tees for the ladies. It is a stableford, full handicap, but remember if you are unable to score on a hole, pick your ball up. No slow play !! One card for one player. We don't want two three or even worse four players on one card.
There is a hidden team prize, but you do not need to worry about that during your round. Four players will be drawn at random at the end of play to make up a team. You could score 25 points and still be in with a chance, so no giving up.
Lunch will be from 2.30 onwards after everyone has showered and changed. JACKET AND TIE for the men please. Very heavy fines for those that forget. West Hill does have towels.
Auction will follow the lunch, and details of the auction items will be found on your tables in the dining room. You pay for auction items on the charity site when you get back home. Prize giving will then follow the auction.
It is great to get as many photos on the course and at the auction, prize giving etc so bring your cameras.
Hopefully we will be finishing around 5.00.
Have a great day, and if you have any queries just ask me, Rick, or the ladies that really run the day !
Any queries before the day, just ask on the main H4H thread.
