No idea why, but any photo I try and post from my iPhone is automatically rotated 90 degrees sideways. Rather annoying as there are no options to rotate it back to the correct alignment view.

When I had an iPhone it did the same might be size thing. Not had any problem since I changed to another brand

Maybe, we're forced to downsize the images as the original size is too big, but resizing shouldn't change the orientation.

It happens to me a lot. What I do before posting a phot now is crop them just a little (or a lot if needed) before posting and they end up fine.
If you don’t want to crop, then just a 360 degree rotation will work as well.

Have you tried because that happens or in your case move the camera settings so you can find the solution.
