Nothing wrong with the Dunlop Drivers. I bought a Dunlop Loco for the princey sum of £12 to use in an old set when I visit my family in the North East. It's a peach and it hits the ball a long way, (if I remember rightly it's also a 420cc head).

There is however an unbeatable driver and it's credentials can't be doubted. It's called the Texas because when you hit the ball it goes all the way to Texas. Last time I used it I creamed it off the tee, the only problem was I didn't realise Texas was a long way to the right but I reckon the ball got on the right train because when it approached the train which had just left the station, it slowed right down to let it on.

I never did see the ball again, however I'm pretty sure that after the train it got a Top Flight all the way to Texas:whoo:

Reading this thread reminded me that I had one of these in the garage:

I bought it about 5 years ago when I was just getting back into golf. Only had a 20 year old driver at that point, which turned out still to be better than this Dunlop crap. Cost a whopping £39 quid, surprisingly. Only lasted a couple of range sessions, didn't even make it to the course - hit a few balls with it, probably less than a bucket when this happened - ball came off the face but the club kind of imploded

Must have been my incredibly fast swing speed and the massive power I generated, I swear the ball made it to the 75 yd marker......

Can't believe that's a problem with the driver, it looks like a sky mark to me.
