Was al lready to go for a round first thing this morning, but took the dog out first and decided it was too cold, i remember the days not so far back when i would have played in all conditions, yet today when its only 2 degrees and slightly breezey, i take the easy option and stay in the house.

How bad does it need to be for the rest of you to call off from playing?

Would be little point in me playing today unless I want to see my drives travel 120yds. It's a bit blowy to say the least. Cold doesn't bother me having regularly played in minus temps over the end of last year. But too windy and it becomes pointless up in them thar hills.

Normally I wouldn't but today I just can't be bothered work has blown me away this week 11 hour shifts most of this week
Clubs are in car as was going to go for 9 holes after work but I'm to tired and freezing night infront of fire and takeaway for me

When I was younger I would play in any conditions, then it went to a 10 degree rule anything under and I didn't play, nowdays plus 10 with the sun out seems more favourable :D

Cold - no problem, assuming the greens are not frozen. Seeing a perfectly struck iron shot landing on the green and bouncing 50yds over is no fun.
Windy - no problem.
Rain - if persistent, heavy-ish and looks as though it's set for the day, this is a problem.

We in the South East of the country are not wimpy like you Northerners!

If the course is open we play :ears:

Will play in all weathers (and have done this winter) but heavy rain will always stop me, just no fun being that wet and miserable
Played a couple of weeks ago and with the weather at zero and the wind picking up I really considered walking in it was that cold

Cold is ok. Windy is ok.

Cold and windy is not ok. And if it rains when it's cold, then it's likely to be sleet or snow, and that's definitely not ok.
I'm with you on this, tho I can tolerate cold and windy. But if it rains when really cold, then I lose all feeling in my fingers. Pointless
