• Thank you all very much for sharing your time with us in 2025. We hope you all have a safe and happy 2026!

I'll be so glad when it's all over...

I can understand the OP's frustration. A season of mostly 0.1's despite feeling I am making forward progress (especially short game) and just need to find a way to transfer range work onto the course. I am enjoying the challenge and there has been a few highs thrown in to remind me I can do it. I still enjoy my golf and even throwing in horror starts like yesterday's PM medal round, doesn't deter me any more. Contrary to popular belief I enjoy my golf

Thought this year I would kick on from hcap of 21. My drives seem better so I am not chasing shots but it's just not happened. Got that bad I forgot to sign a card two weeks ago which cost me winning a division (played rubbish though).
a couple of times I have been very close to smashing my scorecard to bits but ? Concentration, pressure who knows and it went tits up.
but ave a month left and I won't give up. Enjoy goin WI me pals and spending 5-6 hrs with um.
agree with how the game can kick you when your down. Played an 8 iron to a par four two weeks ago it was struck beautifully pitched on the green and rolled 5ft to the hole. Stopped 1 1/2" short of the hole for what would of been my first birdie of the year. Why why oh flipping why could it not roll another 1 1/2".

Thanks for viewing the blog. Your traffic is most welcome  Nice try at a dig and while I have a love hate relationship which has been in the hate camp, you'll notice nothing in that statement that says I am still not having fun and enjoying the challenge. I just hate constant 0.1's when the buffer or better is there for the taking. Huge difference. Nice effort but must try harder :ears:

I can not remember the last time when my handicap reduced. It may do one day but hey i still love trying to play and i am sure one day i may get a cut :)
