If you were Stephen Gallacher how would you feel?

Inebriated.
Happy to have been part of a fantastic team performance.
Moderately happy with my performance, but grateful for the experience in that kind of arena.
Even more inebriated...

Well done Bluewolf for answering the thread as it was intended and not as a slur to Gallacher

Why an odd thread. I was asking how people would feel and NOT how a Stephen Gallacher would be feeling. As I said in the OP I think I would have mixed feelings. It's amazing how people can change a tbread and go off at tangents

It wasn't intended as a dig, hope it's not taken as such.

It just felt like an odd thread to me, just a personal opinion that's all. :)

I would be happier than any of the Americans, and also happy that I was part of the team and not just sitting at home watching it on TV.

Obviously I'd be annoyed about not scoring a point but then I can't score if I'm not picked on day 2, and I gave Mickelson a run for his money. I'd have some amazing memories of the experience of seeing first hand all the 'behind the scenes' stuff and being treated so well during the entire process.

Then I'd go home and blag the missus that I'd really helped motivate the other players behind the scenes and they wouldn't have won it without me. :D

Pleased to have been part of a winning team, but disappointed for not winning a point. However, I would be very pleased with my performance against Mickleson in the singles.

How would you feel if you were Bubba? 9under in the second days 4BBB and still lost?

I like to play & play well , so where as i would be glad to be part of a winning team id be disappointed in my own return , thats just me tho ,As for Bubba if i was 9 under and lost id just shake your hand and know id been beaten rather than lost

Beaten / lost is the same in the end points wise , but for me are different results totally

Wouldn't you say Gallacher was beaten rather than lost yesterday? (4 under, I believe, vs Phil 6 under)

Absolutely correct. No shame in that. Hold your head high and know you were good enough to be there rather than be watching it on tv. Had he been 4 over it would be a different story but that was not the case.

Yea true,

i probably should have seperated both answers as the Bubba remark was was in direct answer to Srixon 1 question ..

he definately played better yesterday allright & -4 is a good round ..

Totally curious does anyone know what the best and worst scores v par were yesterday , i can google it , just wondering if anyone knew offhand

Faced a tough introduction with an out-of-sorts Poulter, which probably didn't help although he wasn't at his best himself and the two could have dragged each other down.

Didn't do a whole lot wrong in the singles, Mickelson was -6 through 17 holes.

He's not contributed to the cause, but he'll be proud to have been there as representing not only Europe, but Scotland on home turf.

He'll hopefully be back, and will know more about what's expected. He wouldn't be the first rookie not to handle the cauldron on his debut.
