• We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!

If you had the chance to play one last round ever.....

The Old Course.

My Grandad (RIP, from St Andrews and introduced me to golf aged 4!)
My Uncle (as above)
My Best Man/Mate

Should be a blinding day :)

Would have to be Augusta

my 2 best mates and Darren Clarke or Poulter. Basically someone to show us how its done but we could have a great laugh with on the course and after.

Augusta for me, would eat me alive but if I holes or got close with one putt I would be in heaven already

fourball
My 2 current playing partners as we always have great banter and feel so relaxed with them
Darren Clarke as he just enjoys golf & grateful for what he has

Old course st Andrews, and my mates ant, Adam, and jase.

Can't see why I would want to play with any one else. I know I am going to have a ball playing with these guys.

The Machrie with three bottles of Bruchladdich Single Malt.

The Laddie Ten would be ideal. I'd need it knowing it was to be my last ever round on this earth, I'd be a gibbering emotional wreck. After the first bottle I'd be that far gone I wouldn't really ken what was happening.

Solitude, massive dunes, crashing waves, my Pings and a beautiful malt, that must be half way to heaven???

Why pick the "big names" who would neither know who you are nor care?

I'd pick Brora with my mates - the 9th there is definitely somewhere one could drop dead & die happy!

if id only enough time to play one last round, id leave it unplayed and spend that time elsewhere.

its only a game, and therefore something i can lose at! i wouldnt want that on my last day.

Augusta- Beautiful course

Tiger Woods- Great player, nothing more needs to be said
Ian Poulter- Would make it a good laugh
Paula Creamer- Fairly obvious reasons, although I'd have to make sure I kept her away from Tiger :D

Carnoustie on a beautiful summers evening......

Me.
Norman Porritt.
Ray Taylor.
Bob Eagle.

My three longest suffering mates. I've had more laughs with these 3 on a golf course over the years than anyone else so why should I change for my last ever game?
Cheers for the good times lads.
