If everyone did this.....

If idiots and ignorant people actually just repaired their own pitch marks they wouldn't have to repair two more!

Why can't golfers realise that when they hit a green they will leave a pitch mark!

BLINKING WELL REPAIR IT THEN, DON'T IGNORE IT. LOOK FOR IT, FIND IT, REPAIR IT. SIMPLE!!!

I'd rather there were more signs that say...

"If there's people behind you let them play through if they are quicker than you"

We've got "Please avoid slow play at all times" written on our scorecards.

We've also got a bit of an issue with pitch marks not being repaired. I think it's just rude

We have a "repair your own and one other" policy but actually I'll just repair any I see as do my partners.

Good idea to have signs reminding people at the par 3's which seem to be the worst affected.

My real bugbear though is people who don't rake bunkers properly or at all. I am amazed at how often I see bunkers full of foot prints. If you have a ball mark on your line at least you can repair it. If you are in a foot mark or a deep gouge in the sand you are stuffed.

And why do some people heave the rake into the middle of the bunker so you have to walk across the sand to get it, or place it along the back edge so that balls that roll in get caught against the handle on the down slope at the back.

Sorry, hijacked thread and rant all in one. Must be Monday morning.:(

I was playing in a match one time, the guy playing against me asked me if he could repair a badly repaired pitchmark. After close inspection it turned out it was just a mark so I didnt let him repair it seeing as it was on his line of putt. I then asked him if he was so concerened about this mark, why hadn't he repaired the one his ball had left? He just looked at me blankley. His handicap was 1, so its not as if he was a hacker.

I agree that that all clubs should have this. I have noticed that some who do bother to repair pitch marks do them incorrectly, leaving almost as bad a mess had they not bothered. I have a picture somewhere showing how to do this.
