If Carlsberg made Sunsets

As that is a thing of beauty, what time of the evening was it.

I think it was around 9:50pm.

Here's the same view from inside our cottage - quite a view from a kitchen window

And here's the Isles of Rum and Skye from the top of Ben Hynish (all 141m of it) - with the Cuillin of Skye the lighter mountains behind the Rum Cuillin. Taken at about 10:45 the evening of June 27th (and it's still light further north over Skye)

My spiritual home :)

I'm lucky enough to see some pretty spectacular sunsets working offshore. These were when I was working off the north west coast of Australia.....

West coast of Scotland simply hasthe best sunsets.

The one l remember best, l don't have a photograph of - l doubt l could have taken one to do it justice anyway. Driving on the Isle of Skye, on the B8009, passenger just said "Jeez, look at that..." . Stopped, got out and looked down the length of Loch Harport. Thin high cloud, all in pastel pinks, purples, violets etc. The loch, without a single ripple reflected it like a glass mirror. Just turned to my mate and said "We may as well drop dead now - we'll never see finer than that". We didn’t but we haven't.

Last week we had the most amazing rainbow in our village.
It was about 10.15 pm just starting to get dark, the start of a glorious pink sunset in the west and an astonishingly vibrant coloured rainbow in the east.

Saw a piece in golf monthly( I think) a couple PPF years ago. The photographer was on about how he got up early in the morning to get some of the best shots.
would like to see some evening shots as well coz some of the colours are fantastic.
