Four fossils gone, only another 300 to get rid of then Leaney.
Well done for seeing the error of your ways.
I'm going to buck the trend here, sorry.
Sorry, Leaney. I don't believe you.
@ Billyboots. There may be a bit of poetic licence but do you want to call him a liar? Or don't you do second chances?

Just 48 hours ago Leaney could not see anything wrong in what he had done, despite some pretty fierce opposition to his actions. He was absolutely adamant that he would do the same thing again given similar circumstances, and some of the language and terminology used in his posts throughout the thread left most of us in little doubt that he would do just that.
And that presented him with a bit of a problem - in short, he had backed himself into a corner in terms of his credibility and future participation on this forum, from which there was really only one way to escape.
And that escape route? To tell you all that he had apologised for what he had done. So 24 hours after making himself out to be one of the most inflexible individuals any of us had come across, most of us come home from work yesterday to find that he had performed a U-turn of gargantuan proportions, and called the golf club to say sorry.
If you read the opening post under this thread carefully it even includes another attempt at justifying his actions, by saying this 4-ball had held countless others up. But to me there is a give away in there which suggests he is trying to lead you all down the garden path - that being that the 4-ball in question have been "banned". Sorry, but I have been a member at 4 different clubs over a thirty year period, served on the committee at two, and have friends at countless others. How many clubs do you know which ban members without at least convening some sort of hearing?
And if they were not members to begin with, whilst I suppose there is a possibility they could have been asked not to return, then I am quite sure the manager would at least have had something to say about what Leaney had done himself. But no, don't worry about behaving like a bully on the golf course, it's okay because they were slow and they've upset the captain!
Sorry, Leaney. I don't believe you.

I will take his word for it , i have no reason not to ............. ,so well done fair play to you ...
I'm going to buck the trend here too. If I had been in the situation leanie was, stuck behind the four knobs, I would have done exactly (exactly) the same thing that he did. And I wouldn't have apologised. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Temper, temper.
With that level of aggression it would not surprise me in the least to see you behave in such a manner. But with nearly 12,000 posts to your name on this forum I doubt anyone here will be quite so quick to give you a hard time about it.
