I'm no expert, but it's the clarity of the picture that does it for me. The detail in the flies wings, and the cracked grain of the wood - super!

Thankyou Golfmad, if you zoom in you can make out a weave like effect on his back, the pic makes me think of the gunfight at the OAK-k corral.

No filter but I am thinking of doing some with filters.
I took one today and its clearer than this one and closer, in shaded light, so I think filters might be a choice.

The hardest bit was putting those little tiny nails through his feet and tapping them down with toffee hammer.
