I may be getting a General Play cut :(

was over at the Club secretaries gaff earlier sorting a few bits out when he mentioned I may be getting an extra 2 shot cut as they have noticed my recent form in a team comp, a runner up in a medal and a stableford win also had a couple of good placings in roll ups.

Apparently my average 5 or 6 pars a round, the odd birdie seem to scream out with me (until recently) being off 28. I did point out the 8,9 and 10's


I said cool, cut me as many as you like

I reckon the old guard dont like the 3 newbies doing well lol

Go for it. A cut is a cut and les face it you've been putting the scores in that have jus been spoilt by the odd faux pas. Enjoy it if you get it

indeed, I had 40 points with 2 blobs and 4 1's, best round of 85 (+16) and an 89 (+20) in non qualifiers

trouble is I suck in medals generally and after having the unmentionables the last 2 range sessions and still hitting driver like a complete douche I am not exactly in good form

Mind you even if off 24 I will still be getting max compliment in the volvo pairs

In my mind, having the bad holes in comps means you aren't ready for a cut.

Hi Gibbo - well done - I am in the camp that says if you get 5 or 6 pars per round you are well overdue a cut. Also I hope you find like u once did after a cut I found it even easier to play to my new lower handicap as my goal / attitude had changed to meet the new handicap status. Unfortunately same happened on way up.
