Actually I still grimace when I hear people say Crap, even though I've been known to use it myself, usually amungst those who use it anyway. [****] is bad enough, though to say shite, is perhaps a little more polite, if there can be a polite version of either. but nothing wrong with Sugar...rofl
Hell used to be a swear word at one time, but no-one batts an eyelid any longer. Though Damn, is perhaps a little better & not in itself a swear word, even though the context its used is as an expetive. Blast is acceptable, as its not a swear word, but does express, exasperation sufficiently.
bugger, can be eaasilly suplanted with botheration, or something sucinckly similar & can also be used for that other usual explitive which also starts with a B but ends in an s, or shortend with an x.
I'll quite happily write an intent of an expetive as 'rude words', or 'expetive deleted' to show there is an emphasis on something. There is always an alternative to the usual foul language we'd normally grimace over... well, that I'd normally grimace over anyway.
EDIT: I am suprised the swear filter only found one word to star out.
