So the car had to go to the bodyshop today - a few weeks ago I got "taxied" and it left a scrape and a couple of dents down one side. Not a huge job but more than the Taxi driver wanted to cough up so Insurance gets involved.
Booked the car in 3 weeks ago and started chasing my replacement - which as to be Dual-Control so I can work.
Every 2 days for 3 weeks I'm told it's being sorted. I even had to pull out of a game with Fundy and FT (which later got cancelled anyway but that's not the point)
Last Friday I'm told the replacement car is at the bodyshop waiting for me.
Great I say I can at least book some work in.

So, off to the bodyshop at 8 this morning and guess what.....

No car.

They give me a lift home and I start calling the insurance company

"I can't believe you were told the car was there Sir, it isn't being delivered to you until 2pm this afternoon" I get told.
2pm - that's no good to me - you tell me I'm obliged to keep my losses to a minimum - well you can add another £150 to the bill now for work I've had to cancel.....

Bunch of mindless jerks who'll be first against the wall when the Revolution comes...

We pay them excessive amounts of money to do a fairly straight-forward job and, to be honest, they're just bloody useless at it.

Agree with your sentiments. Also I feel Insurance Companies hate the punters as they make it so difficult to claim. The honest claimants armed wing penalised by all the false claims.
