I bought today.....

After a few back and forths with PXG (error made on initial order, discount given) and finding I didn’t like the Gen 7 irons, now got a set of Gen 6 0311P irons and have to give them credit for customer service.

Arrived today and are damn fine looking irons.
Absolutely massive test for PXG customer services now. Played one round with the Gen 6s and the GW has a crack appeared in the face. They have been notified and now I await their response.

Hit 4 shots with the GW and where the crack has appeared is nowhere near the strike area of the face.

<logs onto vinted to get in there first>

Great isn’t it. If you know what brands/sizes fit you it can definitely become a bit addictive.
I don't know why but I'd be a bit squeamish about buying second hand clothing for 3 quid or whatever. God knows who's worn it or what they've done to it. I've bought second-hand clubs the like plenty of times, but worn clothes - don't think I ever have.

I only buy the ‘new with labels’ stuff, so it’s (supposedly) unworn, probably just been tried on as it would potentially have been in a shop. Most of them have still been in the original packaging.

I know what you mean though, I wouldn’t buy stuff that was properly used.

Same here, I don't buy the used stuff on there.

My wife is a Vinted seller and she sells the stuff I put in the bin.

Delayed new irons have come back live. Shaft delay is expected to sort itself out this month.

It was tough because the black T150's were my dream set, but was always going to struggle with the longer irons.

I started with a blended set of T200 / T150, but never loved the plate on the back of the 200's, so when they launched the black, for the sake of 3 irons, went all T150.

As soon as the T250's came out, I knew I'd end up going back.

I was chuffed my game became decent with the T150's and the fitter saw no reason to change in the scoring clubs, but the 4th gen version are a little lighter, so it all helps. Not all clubs were available today, but he's convinced I'll get great gapping across the set, with new shafts and lofts adjusted, albeit I'm nervous with 2 degrees weaker in the 150's.

Probably wanted a matching set, but he convinced me not to take the 250's above a 7 iron and he's never really done me wrong, so all in!
When did you start playing the black T150’a?

About half way through this season and lplay relatively well with them, but gets tougher as we go down the set.

To mix the set is sacrelidge, plus 'd have had to alter lofts and don't want to 'ruin' the set, so went for a complete new set.

He couldn't get the numbers with all 150's, all 250's etc., but blending the two got me to 'perfect'.

Genuine question, why did you buy them if they are not right? Did you not have a fitting?

I'm old enough to say I'm not surprised they're cheap. Yuk

Makes me yearn for dress codes. Think I'd rather have a Tweed jacket with brown Windsor soup down my tie.

Would a tweed jacket go with shorts though  And a 2nd layer (& of tweed) and ppl will pass out with heat exhaustion by the turn

Anyway a shirt with pineapples/skulls & palm fronds is perfectly in-keeping round these parts where fields of pineapples grow close to the course, pirates etc left more than the a few skulls lying on the nearby beach which is lined with palm trees ;)

Fair enough we play in different parts of the world I play in the West of Scotland, tweeds and plus fours are more apporpriate most of the year than shorts and tee shirt.

I guess I could go with a local flavour and get a tee shirt with discarded syringe needles and bottles of buckie as a design. ;)

I did try to explain in the post quoted.

Fitted for T200 6,7,8 blended with T150 9,W,G

The black irons were announced, I had to have them, but didn't want the T200's due to the backplate. Bought the T150 set, appreciating I may struggle.

Went back to fitter and swing improved enough to add the 5 iron back in and go 6,7 in T250, but no need to swap out of the 150's. New T250's have no backplate. T150's are a tad lighter too, so peak height, distance and landing angle were optimal across the set.

Issue is, I don't want half black, half silver, or to alter lofts, so ordered the new set.

That's it really.
