I bought today.....

New Scotty Putter arrived and its smokin:love::love:

A big shout out to Bargain Golf Equipment based at Seaham GC in the NE for the swift repsonse and delivery. Highly recommend.
Never mind that, how many bruises did you get off Missis C&R when she saw the putter. 😂

So Tuesday the Motocaddy S7 smacked a 6” run off ditch at the side of a path and stopped dead. The crux of it was the bearing dropped out of the housing on the twin front wheels. So yesterday I ordered a complete front wheel housing for the trolley. It turned up today and I finished fitting it at 8.00 pm.
Big up massive respect to Motocaddy for the quick delivery of the wheel.
That meant I had to carry today and I thought I would need paramedics to get me through the last three holes. Oddly enough I really enjoyed carrying today.

Was you custom fitted for it or just bought off the shelf?

I was fitted for a DF3 and love it, but wanted a second for a set abroad and was going to go for the same, but thought I'd try a different head, so went Oz.1.

Played today and won 8/7, so it sure worked, but the DF3 is definitely the preferred and is more of what lie angle putters are all about.

So, yes, fitted separately for each - same lie angle, shaft and grip, but slightly different weighting (same swing weight) and markings on each.

They've changed my scoring massively.

Its not WHAT I've bought that is the problem....it is what i am almost certainly going to buy in a few weeks time.

Had a spare couple of hours (I'm retired...of course I've got a spare couple of hours!!!) before an appointment at the local recycling center, so ambled off down the golf shop with the possibility of maybe thinking about a new three wood.

Absolutely crushed the new Callaway Elyte 3-wood so the £300 i had in my back pocket was soon handed over.

But then, with still a bit more time to kill, I stupidly asked to have a hit with the new Elyte irons. Will be going back in a couple of weeks for a proper comparison/fitting v my current AiSmokes.
Two weeks in and I have to say the Elyte fairway wood is exceeding wildest dreams....and they can be pretty wild I can tell you (ooops, wrong forum 😆 ).

I did go back and have a hit with the Elyte irons but wasn't wowed by them....however last years Ai200's did impress...unfortunately I had to cut the session short due to tweaking something in my wrist after a heavy contact with the mat. So a third visit will be needed to see if some shiny new irons might be replacing my not quite as shiny as when they were new, not so old irons.

Samsung S10+ tablet

Some random offer with Samsung. £100 off with work discount then £200 off due to trading in any old tablet I got laying about

Free keyboard case thing worth £200 aswell

£650 ..bargain

New lamlin grip for my driver. Shame I seem to have been charged twice in the pro shop so need to sort that put after work when I pick it up. To be fair they are really good with doing repairs quickly and well and sorting errors

Taking a risk on a pair of Footjoy ProSLX BOA shoes....hate buying shoes without trying them on, as my feet are small but a bit wide, but but at least i can send them back if there is an issue.

Would have brought from my local independent shop but they've been closed for the last 6 or 7 weeks for a refitting exercise and no real sign of them reopening.....cant be good for an operation that is mainly bricks and mortar based to be shut for so long.

Also ended up handing over (different shop) my credit card for a set of Callaway Ai200 irons. The Elyte's that i was originally interested in offered no gains over my current AiSmokes but the Ai200's launched higher, span a bit more, landed a bit steeper and were half a club longer with a much more consistent front to back dispersion. I anticipate shooting the lights out with the AiSmokes over the next couple of weeks whilst i wait for the Ai200's!!!

Looks like I will be buying a new putter.

I wasn't aware that I was going to buy a new putter, and have no plans to buy a new putter.

However my existing Bettinardi seems to hold the belief that a new putter is on its way, as it proceeded to hole at total of 80ft of putts on the front nine alone today, including putts of 9,11,7,6,25 and 14ft.
