I am going electric.

I've had a quick scan through the thread an d I don't think anyone has mentioned folded size.

I bought a Motocaddy M3 because the M series folders down smaller than the S series motocaddy and powakaddy equivalent. Not sure of the size of a Go Kart folded, but for me the M series fits in the boot of my Hatchback nicely.

The S series or Powakaddy would mean to remove the parcel shelf and have the trolley vertical, to have it lying down across the car would mean no space for my golf bag.

As the OP, I believe the reason that no one mentioned folded size, was because it wasn't important for my choice of cart. I can say that the plug n play battery is very easy both to fit and also to remove. A minor criticism is that the speed adjuster is very sensitive. If my hand slipped off the handle and flicked the speed to maximum, I doubt that I could run fast enough to catch it!

I have decided to buy an electric trolley with a lithium battery. I don't want remote, just a machine to take the strain of moving my gear around the course. Price is not the main consideration, but build quality, reliability and ease of use are important. Are Motocaddy and Powercaddy the ones to go for, and if so, which models?

Reading your post made me realise how much I dislike my electric trolley. Because of it's bulk I have to use the back seat of my car for my clubs. It also means I have to charge a battery, and then remember to take it with me. Don't get me wrong, it has it's advantages. I can walk behind it whilst I put my hands in my pockets to keep them warm. I can press the auto button and make go to the next tee on it's own, and if my course was hilly (which it's not) I would be a great asset. I have now put it on ebay for a bargain price, and will buy a compact 3 wheel push trolley if it sells.
