I am going electric.

Because it's light, reliable, packs to a small size in seconds, has a really strong motor, excellent customer service.
Oh and the 'plastic' thing. It's a reinforced plastic polymer which is very strong and doesn't rust. Nowt wrong with plastic. Lots of good things made from plastic these days.

Cheapskate stuff and for some reason when you buy one you get to meet their customer services department, truly amazing!

I asked someone today about the quality and retail (I forgot to ask about the Customer Service) and they laughed saying you can buy them at the Range ... Like a right plum I stopped in at the range and they said wrong Range

I have an electric trolley, which I bought second hand and works perfectly. To be honest I wouldn't bother. My friend has a 3 wheel push trolley he bought for £40 which I would swap for tomorrow. The electric trolley has more bulk, it weighs more, you have to recharge the battery, and whats more you have to remember to take the battery with you. Pushing a modern 3 wheel trolley is effortless. Honestly, save yourself the money !!
Depends on the course. I got a Clicgear when I joined a course, I've since sold it and carry as the hills were that hard a push!!

Hold it "Gocart" you have to be joking, these things look pathetic it's like driving about in a Lada. Would rather carry 4 sets of clubs on my back than be seen with one of these horrible things

Thank you for your responses. I tried to find a Golfstream within a reasonable distance, but none of their listed stockists had one. I wasn't taken with the GoKart, so that left me with Motocaddy and Powerkaddy. I chose a Motocaddy and then found that the model I wanted wasn't available any longer. So I ended up buying a Powerkaddy FW5. I have used it twice and it works.

I have decided to buy an electric trolley with a lithium battery. I don't want remote, just a machine to take the strain of moving my gear around the course. Price is not the main consideration, but build quality, reliability and ease of use are important. Are Motocaddy and Powercaddy the ones to go for, and if so, which models?

Please don't change your mind and go remote - from the few examples I have seen around it is too easy to look just a little bit too smug strolling miles behind your trolley.

Motocaddy by far best looking. Bit more expensive but the quality is magnificent. Used a Powakaddy once and wasn't a fan of the handle or battery connector.
