Not just me then. I only joined howdidido this week, so have no track record to compare. I was very disappointed with the slowness of the site but hoped it was a glitch rather than the norm.
My club had posted something on their website (their old one beofre the revamp which has now crashed completely) sayig they were having trouble loading the competition scores so it must be an internal problem on the howdidido site. I tried a number of times during the week but it kept freezing and timing out

Since they revamped the site last year it has been dreadful, it is far too heavy, and with presumably a lot of hits, especially at the weekend, that just exacerbates the problem.
They should be getting rid of the active elements on the site and making it much more static.

Its a contender for the worst run website on the net. Appauling load times, far too many apps trying to open at once etc.

Totally agree. Most of the stuff they've added is just unecessary clutter as well.
News - For what? Can go to BBC or Sky anytime I like for that.
My friends? - Email, Facebook etc, why are you trying to be something you're not? With the age demographic of golf as well, golfers would hardly be in the Bebo target market!
Weather? We have plenty of expert sites for weather, I'm not going to log into a golf site to check it.
Forum? Ok, maybe a good idea, but what about getting the site working first?
Get rid of all that, get the site working with what it is supposed to have, handicaps & results, then once that is smooth, see what else you can add.
I changed home clubs this season, took me ages to get that sorted, mainly due to the appaling lag on the site.
