Over 10 most of the year, although it depends on the weather in winter. I don’t mind the cold too much, but wind and rain? Forget it. Semi retired but can take as much time away from topping the pension up as golf requires.
I play from mid-March to early November (no winter golf here). I'm retired, member of a club, and from April through October play 3-4 rounds per week. Entered 75 scores for handicap in 2025.
Still working, so just Saturdays for me, occasionally twice on a weekend when playing for the B team which is offset by the few times a year that the course is closed during the winter months, So firmly in the 3 - 5 bracket overall.
A couple of times per week all year round unless the forecast is for the rain to be moderate or worse for the entirety of the round. I probably only cancel a couple of times per year.
Absolutely changes in winter I won’t be out on the course now until at least April.
Currently nomadic but looking to rejoin as a member at a new club early next year
Still working hence the restrictions on playing time throughout the winter and also being a parent I miss at least 2 weekends a month of golfing when the kids come to stay but I’d choose that over golf any day.
Once a week most weeks, since daughter number 2 came along, might get an extra game in for special occasions, would be good to start playing more again then I might get close to playing to my handicap again
I generally play twice a week April to October, and then during the autumn/winter months I just play once a weekend, so I guess that averages out at over 5 per month.
I’m a member of a club and so I’m always reluctant to cancel golf for weather reasons, because I see it as wasting money. I’ll only not play if it’s forecasting heavy rain all round, other than that I’ll play, beats staying indoors all weekend!
