ive just bought some hedgehog rubber spikey things for my trolley because my club says i must have them fitted. i just paid £30 for a set in american golf i think this is rather expensive as my trolley only cost £25. have i just had my pants pulled down or is this a respectable price.

Get a hacksaw then glue a bunch of dunlop halved balls onto your wheels, or if you are posh use prov 1s it would still be cheaper. :D

I figured £2.50 to hire wheels with Hedgehogs or carrying my bag would be far more preferable to touching my toes and letting AG make me their bitch!

Your hedgehogs cost 7 times more then the whole trolley on the thread about M&S!!!

I would ask to see the report that says these things actually help the course. My paranood side tells me it is to deter people from playing in the winter. This is the flip side to the BANNED GPS thread cos not everyone can afford them. I would tell them to ram their club up the starfish of the nearest hedgehog.

I've had mine about 3 years now , i think i payed £20 for them. Although electric trolley companies don't recommend them i have found that if i remove the rubber off the wheel of my hillbilly they fit perfect with the clips on, .While on the subject we played our course as a four ball in November and with no prior warning they had ruled hedgehogs only .Two of our group didn't have them on and there where no trollies for hire , so they didn't play. When we got out on the course we noticed they where still letting buggies out! how hypocritical is that? :D

£24.46 online (118)....hardly royally done!!!

I don't know, a tad pricey, but then again, so is cafe nero....but I like it, and you can't order coffee on the 'net....(well, not warm coffee anyway!!)

They retail for about £25 all over, so not too bad fella. Also hiring them at £3ish a shot is not cost effective over a period of time as they will last years.

There are 'hedgehogesque' treads available for electric trollies at about the same price. You screw them into the tyre, presumably to cope with all that extra traction.

Of course I now can't find the site !(but they were for sale at a Cambridgeshire pro shop)
