I haven't had the 3-wood that long, got it just before Ascot, so still getting used to it. For a long time I did without fairway woods as I just couldn't get on with them, now I have to say it surprises me just how long I can hit it, when I hit properly. (Of course the hybrid is sulking now.)
I reckon it's little more than 10-15 yards short of an average drive, and a really good 3-wood is longer than the average drive (but we all know how often those come along).

just might have to give it some more work, another medal, another 0.1 - driving was somewhere west of woeful

There are 2 WarBird Deuce's on Fleabay at the mo', admittedly with the same graphite shaft in that I changed for Steel, but might be worth a punt ?

You might even get the same steel shaft from the chap I used ......

It will be all happy times for 3 weeks, then it will start to slice the odd one, then the odd hook, then he wont know where its gonna go, then he will ditch it for something else all shiney.
