How Many Greens in Reg?

Ours is a fairly modest length course, but I can, and have, hit all greens in regulation. But playing off 17, obviously I don't do it all that often. And there are about 3 holes where doing it is rarer than elephant's eggs.
 
Only hole I can't regularily reach is our 10th, especially in the winter when it often plays into the wind. It is 440 yards, but has big bunkers 30/40 yards short, and is all uphill from the bunkers, so the hole plays almost all carry.

On the last 8 holes at Royal Cinque Ports I could only reach the par 3, in regulation, and that was with a driver. :eek: Actually that hit a post in front of the green and bounced back. Can't believe Pieman and Blundell thought that funny.:( That has to be one of the toughest stretches of holes when it plays into the wind.
 
Our 6300 yds or so must be easy, can hit all 18 in regulation and most you can choose several weapon combinations to achieve that.
 
There are a couple of par 4s I can't reach unless I hit two Sunday best shots and another couple I need two very good shots too reach. Also one of our par 3s is troublesome as its too long for my 3 wood but if I hit my driver well I will run off the back.
 
We have a reasonably short course (short, not easy) so I only actually hit the driver somewhere between 4 and 7 times per round, normally hitting a long iron, depending on the wind and all the greens in regulation, 2 in 1 better than regulation.
 
No reason why I shouldn't be able to hit all of them in regulation...however, does require excellent ball striking to do so. Some of the longer par 4s do require a very good shot with a longer club into some fairly tight greens
 
Kept track for a while and my spread was between 12 and 15 per round.

Bit meaningless regarding scoring as we have big greens so GIR doesn't guarantee a par or birdie.
 
I look to hit every green in 2 shots at nearly every course, I can't reach on holes over 550 yards without a tailwind but if I have a decent lie I am looking to hit the green in 2 shots

You need to improve on your par 3 tee shots to walk the walk as alpha male ;)
 
I can hit all 18 in reg. don't do it every round though! haha I wish!
But I can reach 2/3 par 5s in two as well. Perhaps this year i'll reach the other one as well I've come close a couple of times.
I play of 9 and I'm 27! So I can hit my driver pretty long. So a lot of the time I'm reaching for my lower clubs and the par 3s since I've been getting better have gone from a 5 wood (when I was off 21) to a 6iron!
So chin up lad - you'll soon get better and start reaching more!
 
Only two holes at mine where I don't expect to be able to hit the green with good shots. Both are just really long par 4s. I always try to get a close as I can each shot and play for a 4/5.
 
I can reach all of them in regulation.

Off the whites in a competition I have yet to get on in regulation on two holes (hole 10 460 yards and hole 15 430 yards, both holes are brutes off the whites).

My wife playing off the reds is the opposite for par 4 and 5s, she can not get any of them in regulation.
