Less than 40 minutes about 12. A bit sparse you might say.

Within 15 miles of me there is- Colchester GC, Lexden Wood GC, Birch Grove, Five Lakes, Stoke By Nayland, Forrester Park, Great Braxted, Colne Valley, The Essex, Millers Barn, Clacton, Frinton, Brett Vale, Braintee, Gosfield, Benton Hall, Rivenhall Oak, Notley.

i think in a 20 mile radius there is

killin,kenmore,taymouth castle,st fillans,comrie,callander and thats about it.i'm not even sure if aberfeldy has a golf course but just outside this distance there is also crieff,muthil,culcrieff and gleneagles a bit further.

Off the top of my head within 15 miles..

Sunningdale, wentworth, queenwood, Swinley Forest, bearwood, camberley heath, windlesham, sunningdale ladies, mill ride, royal ascot, the berkshire, east berks, woking, worplesden, west hill, merrist wood, pine ridge, hoebridge, Pyrford, silvermere, foxhills, blue mountain, bird hills, traditions, downshire...

So quite a few and that's just on my doorstep and I've probably missed some

Theres some very impressive clubs listed there, you are spoilt for choice!

If you take out the P&P's the private member courses around here are what you might call the high end and even though we pay £1400 per annum we are actually one of the cheaper clubs. It is probably too much given the current state of the course but these are on the way back and it is also convenient and no booked times so it goes back to the previous threads we've had I guess on what do you consider the priorities (cost, convenience, access, chalenge of the course) when making the choice

Needless to say, even 15 minutes is too far for me.
