Yes. I managed about 40 acceptable shots yesterday. However, not even 1 putt was excellent. I 2 putted every single hole.

40 acceptable full shots. 36 poor putts. That leaves 3 unacceptable/poor shots.....
1 x 5 wood (off the tee)
1 x 9 iron pulled straight left into the bunker on a par 5.
1 x 6 iron sliced 10 yards right of a par 3


Just goes to show.....very few out and out mistakes and still only a 79.

In my round last week I shot 77 with around 10 shots that were 'perfect' or as I intended them anyway. 6 were approach shots to give me a birdie chance, 2 were the birdie putts I converted, and 2 were long drives right out of the sweetspot. I was happy with that, relative to my ability.

Interesting. Just goes to show.....10 excellent shots gave you a 77. Well done though.
