How many clubs in your collection so far?

Apart from whats in the bag, I have an old set of Seve Supremo Slazenger blades from the 80's, affectionately known as the butter knives.
They were my first full set and will get lovingly passed onto my children and grandchildren as a family treasure.

Also have the head of a Yes Callie that I had a falling out with last year!

I've got a lot of stuff. Probably 3 full sets worth.
Most of it has paid for itself over the years. Some of it is on loan.

I do not have that mutch kit as I used to sell it on. Now I tend to keep some of the old kit as swapping it in when a new club misbehave is better than being tempted by new kit. Now all I have is all the efforts at finding 31 hybrid or 5 wood I like. Still have

Adams Boxer 3i Hybrid
Nike SQ 3i Hybrid
Adams RPM 5 wood
Benross VT Xtreme 5 wood

and an old Adams Insight 3 wood

According to HID too many. Was hoping that the answers on this thread would help me convince her that I was fairly normal if not rather conservative. Relieved that there are at least a few others who like to hoard their gear (trade in values are a joke) but need a few more posts from others who like me have 4 and a half sets of irons, 4 drivers, 8 putters, 12 wedges, and a bag full of miscellaneous ex-demo 6 irons, not to mention 3 sets of wooden woods.

Now I tend to keep some of the old kit as swapping it in when a new club misbehave is better than being tempted by new kit.

I'm a bit the same. I swap clubs around, like if a I have a bad round with my fybrid 3h (too many pulls), I swap it for my Callaway, which seems more likely to fade. Probably makes no difference to my score, but at least my wallet survives!

Certainly the way forward for me. Finances are a bit tighter these days so at the moment I am either swapping in old clubs or buying 'bargains'.

I have lots and lots of gear dont see a problem with it, Golf is my hobby and i like new clubs i must have about 12 or so putters in the house 6 of which are my scotty camerons (thats a bit of an obsession).

I also have lots and lots of golf balls...

Never really sell as the trade in is often minimal and I always regret getting rid of a club for £30 or something - I still feel they are worth more to me than someone else.

I also like to change my set every year as I average about 200 rounds a year (190 so far in 2010) so they get a lot of wear and tear. A year with me can be about five with anyone else.

These days I tend to keep them and go back to chopping and changing one or two of the Hybrids, Putters, Woods and Wedges depending on where I am playing or which course which is always a nice option to have. It is fun (usually!!) to pick up an old club and reaquaint yourself with it and I find that the three main course I play I set the bag up very differently depending on weather or mood.

I also have a few visitors down here who always know that theres a full set of quality clubs knocking about they can use for a game.

Besides the list at the bottom it looks like something like over 80 and from the top of my head:

Titleist Irons 930SL Custom Fit
BV Vokey Tour wedges Chrome 52 54 56 58 60
Ping I5 full set plus a 2 iron custom fit
Ping I10 full set
Ping I15 full set
Ping wedges old style 50 56
Ping Tour W 47 52 56 58 60
Titleist 975F Driver
Titleist 16 3 Wood
Titlesit 904 22 degree
Taylor Made Hybrids & Rescues Various Burner/R7/Dual 16 18 22 25
Taylor Made Burner 22
Taylor Made R7 5 wood and 3 wood
Taylor Made R5 strong 3 wood
Taylor Made R9 3 wood
Taylor Made R7 Quad Illegal
Taylor Made R7 Draw ( and one spare exactly the same spec as I like them so much)
Scotty Cameron Laguna
Odyssey 2 Ball
8 Bags of various descriptions Motocaddy, Ping, Powakaddy 2, Titleist Callaway x2

I get a lot of enjoyment out of golf and to be honest the amount I spend on clubs relative to the enjoyment I get out is minimal. Especially when I look at mates who spend massive amounts on their hobby's (Boats, Classic Cars, Shooting or Caravans) in comparison so I never mind too much.

Barum

I have whats in the bag, usually sell or give away what I dont use, the missus already goes mad cos I keep the clubs in the utility room, if I had spares taking up space she would whinge more as there would be less room for her shoes!!! :)

btw, I am still looking a 54 wedge, and poss a 5 wood!! :P

Madness. You can shoot sub par with your current junk, do you think a 20 year old set of irons will make a difference?

Chill.
A lot of the condoms he owns are older than that
;)

Black Cats are good clubs. I had a set a few years ago and they played lovely.

Is your shop still open in this weather :D

I've got the 14 in the bag, an old 7 wood, an old putter and a copule of woods/hybrids that will be going west in the new year.
Haven't got room to keep what I don't use.
Not knocking anyone but some you could open a shop with what you store!!
