Iv got the R&A Official rule book and iv had a thorough read and cannot find any rule stating the fact that you cannot have more than one driver but i wish to ask if any one knows the stipulation on any R&A ruling?? the rule i looked at was rule 4-4-a but only states that you must have no more than 14 clubs but no limitation on how many of any sort of club so can i bag 2 drivers????

Yep you can definitely have two drivers, or any amount you wish provided you don't go over the 14 club limit and don't use an illegal model. Phil Mickleson did this (put two drivers in the bag) in the masters in 2006 I think it was. He had one draw weighted driver and one neutral to allow him to change shots shapes easier if I remember correctly what I read.

I played a round yesterday with 2 drivers in my bag a 12°offset and 10.5° neutral, the idea was to practise after my tee shot with the 10.5°.

I carried two putters the other day, one, a brand new one which I had brought the day before, and only had about 15 putts on the putting green, and my old Macgregor one, just in case. No problem with the new one, so the old one is now in the shed.

i have a 10 and a 10.5. the 10 i havn't tried yet im waiting for pay day to go to the driving range. The 10.5 is realy hard on accuracy but amazing on length but still goes realy ish were i put it. I feel the 10 is more accurate from a few swings but im not all to sure its only a few swings but i have a lot of confidence in both.
