I dont see how 'unbeleivable score' turns me into calling you a cheat , i'm sorry but you may be a little sensitive after shooting that score. I would be a little embarassed myself if I went 11 under my h/c , dont take it out on me

Amazing how a gross score of 98 provokes no reaction which i got in the October Stableford, yet a Net 57/61 with 3 golf balls up for grabs and you're basically a cheat!!

Exactly my point, why try to make people feel guilty if they have had a good round? I think that i have stated many times that I have only been playing the game for 18mths and have progressed very well, so why is it insurmountable for me to record a good score?
I'm not saying that anyone on here has called any of us a cheat, i'm saying that people (which you have just proved by replying with the words "guilty conscience") feel that they have been cheated by someone who has recorded a score well better than their handicap. Ask yourself this,(and again this was my point) Are you capable of shooting 8 shots over, as well as 8 shots under your handicap? and Have you ever shot 8 shots under your handicap?

All you have just said is irrelevant , you have stated I inferred you were a cheat , this was not the case and never would be if you knew me. I have been one of the few people on this forum who have stood up for higher handicap players being able to shoot low scores and I still cant see where I deserve the hostility you are showing towards me tbh
I will say no more on the subject as it leaves a bad odour on these forums

Congratulations to the winners. I'm certainly not questioning their integrity as I myself had a good round and could quite easily have also turned in a bandits score if a few other things went right.
I think people just need to take bandit comments etc in jest as it is always going to happen, that a high handicapper has a round where it all comes together. I know on a given day I'm capeable of shooting 13 shots under my current official handicap, however this is very rare. If it did occurr I would just be very pleased- like the winners. So once again congrats o your good rounds.

Call me a hypocrite as I've been involved in some good old fashioned flame wars myself recently, but it strikes me that all this bitterness and accusations is misplaced. More importantly, these were only nominal prizes kindly put up by GM and I'm pretty sure if this is the response such offers generate they won't be in a hurry to repeat the process
