Afternoon all

The saga of the 100,000 post competition - where I succeeded in confusing everyone most notably myself - has not dented my enthusiasm for the odd random giveaway so I am putting up the following not-that-exciting prizes...

1. Cleveland golf cap signed by David Howell and Soren Kjledsen plus half a dozen of Titleist Pro V1s
2 Nice Cleveland bag towel and sleeve of Titleist Pro V1s
3.Cleveland golf cap (not signed by anyone!) and a sleeve Titleist Pro V1s

Prize 1 will go to the forum member who cards the best GROSS MEDAL score in a competition round over the Bank Holiday weekend (Sat-Monday)

Prize 2 will go to the forum member who cards the best NET medal or highest stableford score, in a competition round over the Bank Holiday weekend

Prize 3 will go to the forum member who cards the best stableford score - doesn't have to be in a competition round - over the Bank Holiday weekend

I am obviously trusting everyone as proper golfers who play by the rules and the spirit of the game to not cheat on this one. At the end of the day you'd only be cheating yourself your mates on the forum

If you fancy entering enter, email me your score to michael_harris@ipcmedia.com your score (including front 9 and back 9 totals in case of countback) plus details of the competition you played in and the course on which you played or for prize 3 just the course you played at

Winners will be announced on Tuesday afternoon

Play well forumers!

We've got a 4BBB on this weekend, so can I enter the competition with a score from that?

If so I'd better sort out who to partner.

Great Idea Mike, I feel that I may have peeked to early though with my 77 last week. Still well worth a go though, I think the winning scores gonna be in the 60's.

Will be entering and better get practicing aswell for a hectic week a comp on sunday one on wednesday one on friday and another on sunday practice practice practice ! :D

I can hopefully win something will send my score to you after my round on sunday .:D

Parmo - easily your best picture of Natalie yet. She's just lovely.

No comps for me, just a social round with the lads...but hope to improve vastly on last week's 28 points at Princes.

Few, at least Monday is included. I'm not playing on Saturday or Sunday so will get myself out on the course on Monday and hope I can better my score of 92 last night! I haven't hit the ball so badly in ages, and the time before last when I played my whole game was on fire. My putter was working reasonably well though so if the rest of it kicks in that 3rd prize is mine ;)

What a great Idea Mike!

Unfortunately I won't be taking part as there are no comps this weekend and on Saturday I'm going to Wentworth - to see how this great game should be played  :)

Best of luck though to everybody, will be interesting to see the results on Tuesday.

Golfmmad.

Mike,
Do you have to have an official hcp?

Far too many bandits of 27 and 28 :)

Like Mike said originally, it is purely down to honesty and I believe this is the only way forward for this to work. It would otherwise be impossible to police...What are GM going to do ask for all entries to be accompanied with a CONGU handicap certificate!

I accept there will most probably be a bandit score come in, but there is nothing Mike or anyone else can do. I just hope, and I am confident it will be the case, that all forumers are honest in their scores. Also if they know they are playing off the wrong handicap then I would expect them to work out this weekends score from a handicap based on there last 3 rounds. Or something to that effect anyway.

I really wouldn't worry too much about it- it's not as if the first prize is something to the extent of a round with Tiger woods etc. It's a nice touch from GM and I am just looking at it that if I win great, if not I've lost nothing. Your not paying to enter remember.

Yes I understand that, but what I was saying is that if someone doesnt have a hcp do they get 28 hcp?

Oh right, as in limiting what the highest handicap that can enter is? I would say this is a good idea yes. Maximum male handicap 28, female 36 and post scores honestly from that. If someone without an actual handicap can work out a fair figure from their last 3 cards, within these boundaries, it would be great.

Obviously it is down to Mike to set the actual rules / limits though.

Prize 1 will go to the forum member who cards the best GROSS MEDAL score in a competition round over the Bank Holiday weekend (Sat-Monday)

Get in!.......that's bagged for me then!

NOT..... :)
