how long to get used to new irons?

In response to the Op, as some have already stated, it depends on how often you practice and play with the new clubs. There is also the "mind set" element that comes into it for many of us. If we are swinging well and mentally confident in our game then we can play just about anything. If there is a doubt, do we look to other equipment as an answer too often. If I'm honest, I suppose that's my way out.

Anyway, at this time of year it's too early to tell. Conditions are poor, the swing has deserted or at best gone a bit off tune, so I'd wait a month or so before really setting a test to see if the clubs are what you expected them to be or not.

hit 100 balls on the range with them and then had a round and the irons were great to be honest. hitting them straight and only the putting stopped me being in the mid 80's. Glad I took what was said onboard and kept them. I was holdong them with a closed face before that I never noticed but now thats sorted, touch wood, they will help me big style get into the 80's. Thanks for all the advice.
