How do you grip the club

I think the function of both overlapping and interlocking is to keep the hands connected.
There are obviously various degrees of interlocking - I thought only one until TonyN's post!
I only interlock the little fingers, and yes it does feel weird initially. I tried the baseball grip for a time but I never knew where my hands were in relation to each other as they could rotate independently.
Where it helps to relax the hands and not grip too tightly, is that if you do you'll end up with bruised/sore little fingers! At least, I do.

Not sure if I am getting this wrong but do you think I lock 3 figures together, if so, I don't but can see why you thought this.

What I meant by strong is, my left hand is gripped on the club so I can see 3 knuckles when I look down (its known as a strong grip to prevent slice/fading)

I only lock my right pinky into my left index.

If you are on about something else, ignore this post. :D

Been through just about every grip known.
Played cack handed until my early 20s, then changed to right hand low but baseball, then changed again about two years ago to the Vardon with just my pinkie overlapping one finger, decreasing my handicap with every change.
I think I'm done now.

I must have been more tired yesterday than I realised, it's obvious now.

I have a weaker grip, though I don't consciously check to see how many knuckles are in view (just checked it's two), just get the right thumb in the right place and everything else fits around it.

I used interlocking until I got pains in my fingers. Changed to overlapping on advice of pro - it felt v. weird but I decided it helped me firm up my left side and I did improve around that time - now only interlock for putting.
I suppose I have small hands by man's standard- but at least they don't hurt any more!
