How did I find out..
I met a guy who normally plays Monday mornings in Tescos - I was getting my lunch - and he told me.
Check email... Nothing
Check website.....shows open..
Its a rarity that we're closed so it wouldn't cross my mind d most of the time to phone to find out....
I've been on at them for ages to use email/twitter/faceache to get info out but it seems to fall on deaf ears...

So how do you find out your course is closed...?

Website. Gets updated at stupid o'clock in the morning along with any bans on trolleys etc. They're great at it

I've just checked our clubs website and it is now showing closed.
Normally updated first thing in the morning but for the last few days there has been nothing showing.

Drove 40 mins, thought the car park was quiet and then saw the sign at the 1st tee. Deep joy.

The website doesn't show anything so you need to call and it never crossed my mind it might be closed that day.

Our track has a course status line you can call.

Purely automated which tells you if the course is open or closed and any restrictions (No trolley etc) in place.

New club we joined sent an email first thing today. Other club has a course line you have to call after first light to find out if open and if any holes closed/trolley ban etc.

Get an email from the pro before 8am every morning with the course status for the day - open/ closed/ competition tee closures/ buggy or trolleys allowed. the website also carries the same info, but need to log in to get it there.

Mine says course open and in excellent condition on the web. I've just phoned to enquire. 17 holes open. All winter greens. Lift from fairways and place in rough. I'm not sure how that constitutes excellent condition!

Home page of web site, so no logging in needed. Current situation is closed, but tells us when the next inspection is due
