How do you clean your golf shoes? I've been doing it wrong!

Last time I cleaned mine I took the hose to them in the back garden. They were crazy muddy though from the miserable February we had.

You can damage the glue holding them together if the temp is to hot.
Plus all that mud down your pipes and drains.
Just use a baby wipe after you play it’s easy before they dry.

I use Baby Wipes, quick wipe immediately after I’ve played and a quick wipe before I go out.

I'm not normally squeamish but then thought of eating dinner off a plate that's been in the dishwasher after a couple of pairs of golf shoes is grim...
Even if it was cleaned within an inch of its life..
Just wrong.

Use the air line at the club after each round.
I would never put my shoes in the dishwasher, the glue will come unstuck and the detergent will destroy the leather finish.

The drying process will sterilise the dishwasher, so no problems with bacteria issue afterwards.

I just wear them in the shower and use a nail brush.

Jokes aside, I use the compressed air at the club straight after a round then when home they only need a wipe with a damp cloth

quick baby wipe every now and then and all is fine.
I have washed 50/60 balls in the dishwasher before though! ha ha.

After years of cleaning football boots off in the sink on Saturday/Sundays evenings golf shoes haven't taken 1% of the same effort.

Baby wipe after every round then dry off and then put some of those shoe inserts in to dry the inside out

TBH i don't have to clean mine that often, as they don't get muddy playing on links all the time. I just blow any dirt and grass in the spikes with the air hose and they go in my locker clean
