How do u make going out on your own more interesting??

Two balls off the tee and hit the worst of them to the green. It makes hitting errant shots in a comp easier, also I like to hit a ball out of a bunker on every hole.

i did try that once with the ball from the bunker but got told off by the greens keeper cos it wasnt a practice green!!

I often hit a few shots again around the greens. I wouldn't do it out of bunkers though with any regularity.

What I do is finish the hole then throw a ball into a greenside bunker, hit it out, rake the bunker then putt from there. No harm done and vital practice at up'n'downs.

If by "more interesting" you mean how to make it a bit more competitive even though you are on your own, play "bogie" golf.

That is you playing matchplay against the course. The course plays level par on every hole, e.g. par 3, par 4 or par 5, and using your handicap you try to play net par or birdie on each hole. It does concentrate the mind a bit :)
